Women of Wisdom, Courage and Virtue
This small booklet contains personal, spiritual thoughts about four righteous women in the Bible–why I love them, and how they have touched my life.
Book Introduction
Frequently, when I say my prayers, I ask my Heavenly Father to bless me with the wisdom of Eve, the faith and devotion of Ruth, the courage of Esther, and the virtue and righteousness of Mary, the mother of the Savior. We are commanded to be perfect, even as our Savior and our Heavenly Father is perfect. We are also taught that to achieve this, we must emulate Christ in all things, and what better way to do that than to seek the attributes of those whose very lives exemplify Him–lives in which we can view each of them as types of Christ?
These four holy women have greatly influenced my own life, and thoughts of their examples touch me so much, I can hardly find the words to express my feelings. They put off the natural man–that part of us that is such an enemy to God–and their willing and open hearts enabled God to do His work in them. In this way, they had their own appointed part in helping bring His plan to pass. Each of them owns a special place in my heart, and I don’t even know where to begin to share it.
So, I will start at the beginning . . .
